Using this image I got from a public domain image library makes a simple yet fun card. I just embossed the Thinking of You, added a couple of emplishments, punched the corners and wallah!
I first started making cards in 2007. A co-worker brought a Stamping-Up catalog to work and I just fell in love with the overall look of cards made with the most beautiful stamps I had ever seen. Such elegance! My husband encourage me to pursue this craft and backed up his encouragement with starter stamps and supplies. working with different paper, color and designs at a level of creativity which allows artistic expression of good wishes and encouragement is an amazing outlet. Thus the name "The Paper Handmaiden" in honor of my mother, Mary. My mother never forgot an anniversary or a birthday and she was always card shopping. Her devotion to honoring such special days as birthdays and wedding anniversarys left an indelible mark on me and I just feel close to her when I am making a card. She and my dad would say "don't get me anything for my birthday, just get me a nice card." This pleased them and they would show you all the cards they received on their "special" days....so the tradition carries on.
